GREEN BAY, WI – 2020 is almost over and it has been a bear! That being said, I was able to get out and use my RV, explore and enjoy it some.

When I got into RVing 5 years ago, at the end of every year, I put together a list of my top spots. The are places I visited during the year and wanted to really share and let folks know about them.

So now it’s time to share my “Top 5 RV Spots in 2020”… (With one caveat)

“OUTSIDE the Top 5… KETTLE MORAINE ST. FOREST… LONG LAKE”

CAMPBELLSPORT, WI – RV camping in my first Wisconsin State Park, turned out to be a bit of an adventure.

Here are the Rving basics:

  • I stayed there 2 nights, where after taxes it worked out to be $33.87 per night
  • I was in site 643

“#5… BAYSHORE CAMPGROUND”

BROWN COUNTY, WI – Why RVing at a County Park Can Be Fun! Well, one reason is because a good county park can be just like a good State Park. When I got done RV Camping Potawatomi State Park Sturgeon Bay Door County Wisconsin, I headed South to check out a really cool county run RV Park and had a really good time.

Bay Shore Park Campground is just North of Green Bay and a perfect stop on the way back or up to Door County Wisconsin.

As for the Rving basics and I like to do this for every park I stay at:

  • I stayed there 2 nights, where after taxes it worked out to be $32 per night
  • I stayed in site #40 and it was a really good location. Paved, near a bath house if you needed it. The inside of the park has paved spots, on the outside portion of the park there are some spots, however they are extremely tight to get into and you might not be able to. The middle of the campground is really where you want to be

“#4… KETTLE MORAINE ST. FOREST… MAUTHE LAKE”

KEWASKUM, WI – Making an RV Stop at Mauthe Lake Wisconsin. A stop that may seem familiar if you’ve been following along for awhile and if you haven’t here’s the 411.

Checking out the RV basics of this trip like I do for every park I stay at:

  • I stayed there 2 nights, where after taxes it worked out to be $32.87 per night
  • I stayed in site #221… Check in is 3pm, someone was in my spot when I arrived. The roads into the sites are a little narrow.  In addition to RV’s & Travel trailers, there is also tent camping and a teepee as well.

“#3… HARTMAN CREEK ST PARK”

WAUPACA, WI – I’ve done a lot of different RVing in my RV career if you will, however RVing in the cold at Hartman Creek State Park in Wisconsin is something…. (INSERT THE WORD YOU’D LIKE HERE)

Checking out the RV basics of this trip like I do for every park I stay at:

  • I stayed there 3 nights, where after taxes it worked out to be $31.25 per night
  • I stayed in site #83… It was easy to get into. Not a lot of folks at the park and yes there were some folks tent camping during this time, which was in October of 2020

“#2… POTAWATOMI ST PARK”

STURGEON BAY, WI – The time has finally arrived! Time to take the RV out and explore. So I’m RV Camping Potawatomi State Park Sturgeon Bay Door County Wisconsin.

As for the Rving basics:

  • I stayed there 2 nights, where after taxes it worked out to be $33.87 per night
  • I stayed in site #12 and it was not level at all, a little difficult to get into

“#1… KHOLER ANDRAE ST PARK”

SHEBOYGAN, WI – RV Camping Kholer-Andrae St. Park Sheboygan, Wisconsin is a must if you can. I’ve started to really explore some spots and this is one you want to spend some time at if you can.

As for the Rving basics and I like to do this for every park I stay at:

  • I stayed there 2 nights, where after taxes it worked out to be $32.87 per night
  • I stayed in site #203… The way they have some of the spots, there on kind of a main road, however it was pretty level and nice. There is an inside loop where you have more of the traditional spots for not only RV’s/Travel trailers, but also for tent camping as well.

Now I DID leave one spot off the official list, however it is ALWAYS my top spot and that’s spending time with Mom.  On my way back from Florida, I got to spend some time with Mom and she hooked me up with great food and some of those amazing Mom hugs, so for me that will aways be my top spot.

|VISITING MOM!

So that’s the list for 2020. I can’t wait until 2021 to get out and do more. Tell me, where are some of the places you like to go and if you’re near Wisconsin, what places would YOU suggest for a trip in 2021?
