SEATTLE, WA – Shopping at REI is a blast! I walk into that place and I’m like a kid in a candy store… wait, they don’t even really have “candy stores” any more… How about, I walk into that place and I’m like a coffee fanatic walking into a Starbucks Reserve store! Better? I’ll keep working on it.
Anyway, I love REI. At the beginning of this year, I took you with me as I picked up my Jetboil MiniMo and a could of new pieces of car camping gear that I love.
Now it’s time to head on back for some more gear, thanks to my daughter.
For Father’s Day, she gave me a card & a gift certificate to REI, so I decided to combine it with my membership points and see what I could pick up.
Now I didn’t really NEED anything in particular, but there were a couple of things I WANTED to get, so I figured the gift certificate was a good enough reason to make the hike… pun intended to REI.
While I was there, I picked up two items for car camping:
The first… the “REI Co-op Trailmade Rain Jacket.”
I loved the color on this jacket and while there were a ton of other jackets, way more expensive than this one, with my gift certificate AND the member discount, this one was right on target: (From the website)
