GREEN BAY, WI – It’s cold, but time to check on my RV in storage to see how it’s holding up so far. I know it’s early in the winter storage season, however it’s never too early to head on over and check out the rig and start dreaming of what it will be like when I get back out there in the spring.
So my final stop of the season was at Hartman Creek State Park in Waupaca Wisconsin. A really good trip, however at the end of it all it was time to bring back the RV and get it ready for storage.
I have come to terms that I am in a cold weather place, but it doesn’t mean that from time to time I think back to where my RVing career started in Florida. One of the really nice things about RVing down south in Florida, is just how often you get to get out.
So with the RV in storage about a month, I wanted to go back in and check it out. See if it would start up. See how the methods I’ve used to combat rodents are doing and just to see the RV… Yep I was missing her. The nice thing is, so far so good.
Since I stored the RV and posted about it, I’ve had some really good comments and suggestions from folks. The next time I head out to the RV, I’ll bring some Irish Spring soap to help guard against those pesky mice. And I’ll fire up the generator, just to work it out. Again, when I lived in Florida and RV’d, I didn’t use the generator at all, just checked on it now and again, so it’s probably a good thing to check out next time.
Speaking of next time, I’m working on a video and story regarding some of the RVing and YouTube channels I watch on a regular basis. I hope you’ll find some of them helpful. When I started looking into even thinking about getting an RV, I watched a ton of RV channels. Some of those folks are gone now, however there are a lot of really good places to look at and I’m going to share a few of them with you!
