SNEADS, FL – “It’s a Wing Thing” for sure today! I love a great, grilled wing on the road and in this episode I’ve got an easy, fun recipe you can do from your campground when you’re RVing or for that matter at home on your grill. You know I love to “Chef-It-Up!” And THIS will impress your guests and make them all think you’re a “Top Chef!”
Recipe:
Ingredients – Chicken Wings, Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar
Spices – Garlic Powder, Crushed Red Peppers, Salt, Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Cumin, Paprika, Turmeric
First, assemble your dry ingredients. A tablespoon of garlic powder & paprika, mixed with a tablespoon of: cayenne pepper, turmeric, cumin, crushed red peppers, black pepper and a half a teaspoon of salt.
Next, place the wings in a ziplock bag. Add in a tablespoon of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Throw in your dry spices. Mix it up and place in the refrigerator for about an hour before putting on the grill. You can do this overnight if you wish.

For this recipe, I’m adding a little mesquite wood chips to the coals. I soak the chips for about an hour, start the fire then throw in the chips to help create a unique smoke. Once your grill is hot, you want to take your wings and put them on the fire, turning about every 10-15 minutes, until the wings are cooked all of the way through. These wings don’t use any other sauce on them, so watch as they cook, so the flames don’t burn them.
As the meat cooks on the grill, brush the glaze onto the meat… cook, then turn over and glaze again. I will do this three to four times before pulling the meat off of the grill.
While the wings are cooking, I put together a great salad, with Ken’s Steak House Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing. You can also use the dressing for a dipping sauce for the wings. To drink, Barefoot Moscato Peach Spritzer.
Time to plate up your wings and sit down, enjoy the view and a great spicy wing recipe!
