Going outside to do up breakfast this time out. We’re going to do a flat top all star breakfast It’s better than any dinner, because it’s out in the wild and thanks to my Char-Griller Flat Top, it’s easy to do!

“ALL-STAR BREAKFAST”
THE RECIPE:
Ingredients – pancake batter, bacon, eggs, sausage, red peppers, onions, fresh basil, rosemary, potatoes, cheddar cheese, olive oil, cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, butter, syrup
“MISE EN PLACE” AT HOME BEFORE YOU LEAVE
- Make your pancake batter ahead of time… here is a link to a previous recipe of mine for batter
- Chop two slices of onions & a quarter of a red pepper
- Chop 4 or 5 leaves of fresh basil and 1 stem of rosemary
- Shred one russet potato
ON THE ROAD, READY TO COOK
Step 1 – In a bowl beat together: 3 eggs, a half a teaspoon each of – salt, pepper, and garlic powder and 3 tablespoons of heavy cream and set aside
Step 2 – Next start your flat top and get it hot before adding some olive oil and then two slices of bacon
Step 3 – Once your bacon is cooked, remove and add a half a cup of hot sausage and your shredded potato along with a teaspoon of salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and your rosemary and basil. About halfway though the cook add in your chopped peppers and onions and cover.
Step 4 – Cook your hash for about 3-4 minutes then add in your egg mixture and then your cheese. Cook thoroughly before removing from the heat and re oiling your flat top.
Step 5 – With your hash cooked, it’s just a matter of dropping your batter on the flat top and cooking your pancakes, flipping when needed.

And there you have it, a breakfast Waffle House or IHOP would be proud of!
