CASTLE ROCK WA – When I found my, New-2-Me-RV, my 2018 Winnebago Travato 59g online I was thrilled and concerned all at the same time.  I found my RV, through RV Trader and it was in another state… Wichita to be exact.

I went back and forth with the dealer to get the price I wanted to pay and they worked with me to do so, the next thing I had to do was to find a third-party who could do an RV inspection. See, even though I found what I had hoped would be my dream rig, without confirmation that it was in good shape, I wasn’t going to pull the trigger.

So what I did was go online and search for an RV inspection company that worked in the Wichita area.  It was a much easier search than I expected.  Once they sent over the information about how they handle inspections and the costs, I plopped down around $500 bucks, signed the deal and connected them with my RV dealer.

The two sides, picked a time to do the inspection and a few days after, I received a 32 page report, with pictures and a Carfax about the RV.  I went through everything, sent questions back and forth with both the inspectors and the dealer and while there were a couple of small items on the report, the RV was basically in great shape. Also, the deal agreed to fix the small issues and with that, I had peace of mind

An RV is a big investment and it’s important to have someone who’s not intimately involved with the transaction to look over everything and to give you the true nuts and bolts about your RV.  Once I got everything back, I jumped on a plane and headed to the Midwest to pick up my RV and so far, everything has been really good.

My advice, whenever you get ready to purchase your dream RV, spend the money up front and get your inspection so you can find out if your dream RV is really a dream before it turns into a nightmare.
