SILVER CREEK, WA – It is time to kick off the 2025 RV season with the first stop of the year. It’s also my first time truly winter camping in my “New-2-Me-RV” my 2018 Winnebago Travato 59g. While I did hit some snow bringing my RV back home from Wichita last year when I picked it up, I’ve not officially camped/RV’d in the winter until now.
So get your long-john’s ready for a very cold, but fun trip and look at, “Ike Kinswa State Park.”
Here’s the 411 on the trip:
- 2-nights, after taxes it worked out to be $68.00 dollars or $34.00 per night
- I stayed in site 72, it was a back in site with water and electric, although because it was the winter, the water was shut off. The site was fairly level.
- I did have cell service. I have AT&T.
- I watched 1 movie, “Blue Velvet.” The overall movie count for 2025: 1
- The facilities:
- The park offers several options for overnight stays.
- There are 31 standard campsites, 41 full utility sites and 31 sites with water and electricity.
- The utility sites accommodate RVs with trucks up to 60 feet long.
- I was easily able to book my reservation online at: https://washington.goingtocamp.com/
According the website:
“Ike Kinswa State Park sits along Mayfield Lake and the Tilton and Cowlitz rivers in Southwest Washington. This 454-acre camping park features 46,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on the north side of Mayfield Lake. The campsites are forested and available year round. The park is very popular in the summer for water recreationists. The lake and rivers provide excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, sailboarding and waterskiing.”
