DARRINGTON, WA – Sometimes I debate sharing really cool spots to RV, because I know once I do that, I may never get a spot back in the park!  Just kidding. I love good county parks and after my last stop at one, Wenberg County Park, the folks at Snohomish County Parks commented on my Instagram post and told me about another spot I should check out and so I decided to explore.  So I packed up the Travato and headed, Northeast from me to “Whitehorse Campground” in Darrington Washington.

Here’s the 411 on the trip:

  • 2-nights, after taxes it worked out to be $112.00 dollars or $56.00 per night
  • I stayed in site 11 and it was a pull through with full hookups
  • Cell service was great for me. I have AT&T.
  • The facilities: The campground consists of a total of 30 sites within three loops. Other amenities include a dump station, restroom with ADA-showers, timber-framed picnic shelter with fireplace, and a short nature trail.  Note:  Restroom access codes are issued by the campground Host upon arrival.
  • I was easily able to book my reservation online at: https://snoco.usedirect.com/snohomishweb/

According the website:

“Located just outside the Town of Darrington, Whitehorse Regional Park Campground becomes the ultimate “get-a-way” in Snohomish County, with close access (but no direct access) to the Whitehorse Trail, North Mountain bike trails, and other DNR and Forest Service lands. Please be aware the campground is closed and winterized mid-October through mid-March.”
