REDMOND, WA – I love doing new things in my RV and this time it was all about checking out something I’ve been wanting to try for awhile, but never got a chance to, until now, “Hip Camping.”
If you’re not familiar with “Hip Camp,” it’s a cool way to find unique places to camp and RV. For my first time out, I decided to try out a Christmas tree farm, just North of Seattle in Redmond, McMurtrey Farm.
Here’s the 411 on the trip:
- 1 night and after taxes it worked out to be $70.43 for the night
- I stayed in site #2… No electric or water, but there was a port-a-potty
- Cell service was strong. I have AT&T.
- The Christmas tree farm in Sammamish Valley between Woodinville and Redmond. Walkable to wine tasting hub (under a mile) and walkable to Burke Gilman trail
- There are 3 campsites. The do allow camp first and allow vehicles up to 50 feet

This year the farm is again offering a pumpkin patch in September and November and planting some sunflowers and dahlias.
