FEDERAL WAY, WA – I’ve gone through a lot of different bed setups since I’ve started car camping in my Subaru Crosstrek. Now I present to you, yet another one… my new car camping bed setup 4.0.
So when I first started car camping, I was in Wisconsin and for the most part my first time out, I just threw some stuff from my apartment in the back of my car and took off.
Early last year when I went out for the first time in the Pacific Northwest, I made a couple of modifications and started to dial into what felt comfortable for me.
Later in the year, I got some new equipment for the car and tried yet another version of my bed setup. And to be honest, the results were a little more mixed.
And now I have my new winter car camping setup… my 4.0 version of my car camping bed and for cold weather camping, it’s not a bad set up. In addition to my Bluetti EB3A power station, I did have a couple of extra items to help me stay warm throughout the night:
The North Face Eco Trail Bed… https://amzn.to/3HdFTLb
Kimviento 200 Watt Mini Heater… https://amzn.to/3WrCyMu
Jessie Kidden Men’s Fleece Lined Hiking Pants… https://amzn.to/3GUjhgV
Neleus Men’s Dry Fit Compression Baselayer Pants… https://amzn.to/3wyCtvL
All of these items helped me get through my first time out winter car camping at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way Washington.
