SEATTLE, WA – The start of the cross country trek from Wisconsin to Washington in my Subaru Crosstrek has been a good one so far. I’ve been lucky enough to see a lot of places along the way and the car is running well and it’s just a lot of miles.
Right now, it’s the biggest part of the journey, kind of the hard days of driving. But also some really great scenery on the road.
One of the places I got to stop at was the “Theodore Roosevelt National Park – Painted Cave Overlook” which was just spectacular! Gorgeous views all over and if you are driving across country and need a place for a bathroom break or stop, this is one of prime locations!
Oh and by the way… I got to see a buffalo!
On the road the next day, it started off kind of cloudy, but just a little bit outside of Bozeman, the sun started to come up and again, I had to pull off on the side of the road to take some pictures and show you some of the landscape. Again, something so beautiful and different than a big city. A beautiful part of my journey.
So the drive West continues and soon I’ll be heading into Idaho and Washington and eventually to my new home. There are reflective moments for sure on the drive… heck there are so many hours driving you have a ton of time to think about a lot. I think this is all going to be a great experience and man, when I get my RV out here… it’s going up a notch… maybe even to 11!
