GREEN BAY, WI – Welcome to “Wayback Wednesdays!” A new series where I share some stories about a previous episodes and give you a second look at them.
Remember that time when I toured these really cool underground caverns and saw a rock formation that looked like Jabba the Hut? Well in this episode that’s exactly what happened.
SEASON 3: EPISODE 21 November 12, 2018 “Touring Florida Caverns State Park”
“(This video was shot before “Hurricane Michael,” hit the Florida & South Georgia. I’ve added some links to a couple of places you can donate to, to help those impacted by the storm. I hope you’ll contribute something, if you are able to.)
No matter where I go, I always love to explore the location. If they’re known for something, I’m all over it and in this case the Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna Florida is known for their Caverns, so you know I’ve got to check this out!”
One of the things I really remember when I did this tour is that it was hike down to the caverns from where the RV campsites were. I love a good hike, however getting down there all I could think about was… yep I’m going to have to come all of the way back.
Now once I was inside the caverns it was absolutely gorgeous and really cool. I remember thinking, what if something happens and we get trapped. That didn’t happen, but licking some rocks inside the cavern… you betcha… that DID happen and it was silly but fun!
QUESTION OF THE WEEK?
Where’s a cool place you’ve RV’d/Camped before that you’d recommend?
