Checking Out Manatee Springs State Park

When you roll up onto a State Park and there is water you can hop in and enjoy, you can sign me up right away!

Manatee Springs State Park in Chiefland Florida is one of those spots. Just about 2 1/2 hours outside of Tallahassee, this spot is a hidden gem.

80 spots to camp in. Boat dock, hiking trails, a springs and right near the Suwannee River, it’s a beautiful spot.

The sites are fairly easy to get in and out of. You’ll have nature right at your doorstep, deer walk right into your campsite all of the time. The Wi-Fi is tough, but you’re really there to just relax. You can swing over to the snack shack/kayak rental place right next to the springs, “Andersons Outdoor Adventures” and piggy back off of them to get a signal.

I was there in June and stayed 4 nights, which broke down to $23.47 per night, so a great value!
