So I’m checking out the, Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in Florida. White Springs Florida to be exact. 

You may remember, awhile back I stopped, north of here at a park that sounds awfully familiar, “Stephen C Foster State Park,” in Georgia.

Both were named after the composer Stephen C. Foster and both are tied together because they are on the Swanee River and if you were thinking, “Hmmm, I wonder if this is the same guy who composed, ‘Way Down Upon the Suwannee River,’” You’d be right!

A small, but nice park. Not a lot of hiking available, but enough places to get a good workout in. Cell service and over the air antennae were decent.

The price point when I stayed there, not bad. $23.67 a night.
