Back on the road for another adventure and this time I’m taking my Winnebago Travato to Lake Easton State Park in Washington. Under 2 hours from Seattle, on paper this is a great spot to explore, but how did it shake out in “real life?”
Here’s the 411 on the trip:
- 2-nights… $55 a night, with taxes the two night total was: $110.00
- I stayed in site 12
- I did have cell service, between 3-5 bars. I have AT&T.
- I watched 3 movies during my stay for an overall movie count in 2025 of: 10
- “Rogue One”
- ”Casablanca”
- “Plan 9 from Outer Space”
The facilities:
- The park has 90 standard (tent) campsites, two hiker/biker sites and 45 full-utility RV sites with water, electricity and sewer service.
- There are four restrooms (three are accessible to people with disabilities) and four showers (two are accessible to people with disabilities).
- Camping is in a wooded setting, with most tent sites near the Yakima River and most RV spaces near Lake Easton.
- The park accommodates RVs up to 60 feet in selected sites, and some sites will accommodate tipouts. The park has a “walk-in/tent-only” group camp that accommodates up to 50 guests. The site includes a fire pit, benches, water, restrooms and parking nearby

Travelers from both sides of the mountains in Washington enjoy the park year round.Campsites range from full to non-hookup sites with four accessible restrooms and showers, some sites accommodate up to 60-foot RV units. Dump station on site. Due to the campgrounds’ close proximity to I-90 and highway noises, earplugs are recommended for light sleepers”
