COLUMBIA COUNTY, WA – If this trip looks familiar, it’s because it kind of is. Two years ago, I did a car camping version of this. I had to speak at Washington State in Pullman then and did it again this year, only this time out, I brought the RV.
Now the first part of the trip was on the campus of WSU and I had a good time. However the big excitement of this trip was after my work obligations when I hit the road for a fun boondocking spot, that I never would have normally gone to, but found it online with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District Website, “Little Goose Landing” in Columbia County Washington.
Here’s the 411 on the trip:
- 1-night… No cost, but check to be sure by calling: 509-751-0240
- I stayed in a site next to the water… there were no numbers on the sites
- I did have cell service, between 1-3 bars. I have AT&T.
- I did not watch any movies because I was having trouble with my batteries

What a great spot. Hubs and I will have to check it out also.
Have you dusted off your solar panels and/or checked your connections? Hope it is something simple and not your actual batteries. Good luck!
Looking forward to the next trip; stay safe!
