GREEN BAY, WI – Spoiler alert! In the last video I stopped right before we found out if the RV would turn over for the first time in 6 months. In this video, we’re going to answer the million dollar question: Will the RV start and can I drive it back to Seattle?

In the first video of this mini-series if you will, I was able to hop on a plane, fly to Green Bay and see the RV for the very first time in months.  I was so extremely nervous about what was ahead. Would the RV start? Could I get it going in time for me to get it to the RV shop for a tune up?  There was a lot on my plate.

Getting the RV & Driving It Home: Part 1

As soon as I arrived, I didn’t even go to the hotel, I went to the rig and thank goodness, it fired up!  So the next big part of the trip was getting the rig ready for the mechanics the next day and making sure the folks at Fleet Pride could start on the tune up first thing in the morning.

What I didn’t expect, but should have is that snow happens in Green Bay at any time and so I woke up the next day in the middle of a mini-snow storm.  It made it a little difficult to drive in it, because I wasn’t really use to using my RV in the snow, but I made it to them and was able to get the work done.

While I was in Green Bay, I did stop by my old apartment complex to check in on one of my favorite neighbors of all time Jane and she looked as good as ever. 84 years young, we spent about an hour together and it was such a nice moment in all of the chaos.

So day one, on the ground in Green Bay was a productive one. I was also able to get my next part of my RV updates moved to the next day, so Bayside Outdoors was able to get me in to “freshen-up” the RV, which meant I could hit the road a day early and with a long drive ahead this is exactly what I had hoped for!

So next time, I’ll wrap up my work on the RV in Green Bay and hit the road a day early!  Things are looking really good!
