This is a new segment I’m going to post on a regular basis. Once a month I’ll post up, three cool things I’ve found online, in life, wherever about RV Life! These are things I want to share and find really interesting. They’re just my personal take, but I hope you’ll find them interesting as well. Some you may, some you won’t but it’s a great way to share back to the community.

Again, for those of you who don’t know, I began my journey in the RV World, just a little over a year ago and it’s been fantastic. I don’t fulltime yet, but do as much as I can, whenever I can. I’ve gone from my first Class C rig, which I loved and took everywhere. To my “New-2-Me-RVJedeye Mobile” in less than a year… 6 months to be exact and I’ve been renovating it, making it mine and getting close to being back out on the road as much as possible.

Since I’ve become a part of the lifestyle, I’ve wanted to share and giveback as much as possible, so hopefully, this monthly feature, “Top 3 RV Finds” will do a little bit of that and more. So without further ado, let’s check out this month’s finds!

Number #3: “RV Insurance”

I surf YouTube all of the time looking for cool videos and information. Sometimes it’s because I’m working on a project and I want to see what others have done and other times it’s just for fun. Recently while hanging 10 looking for a flooring video, I stumbled upon, “I’m Not Lost, I’m RVing’s” channel and immediately subscribed.

Thomas & Stacy have a really nice channel, love their information and it’s a pretty cool channel. What took it to the next level for me and the reason it is number 3 on this month’s list, Stacy did an amazing post on “RV Insurance” in Florida.

I know, insurance is not particularity sexy, but it’s something we all need to know about when it comes to RVing, especially in a fulltime situation and her work on this subject in this video is pretty important and interesting. I suspect a lot of what she found, although specific to Florida, would translate across the country. When you get a chance, check it out. I think regardless of what your RVing intentions are, this episode is killer.

Number #2: “Tales from the Black Tank”

Number 2 on the list… a really cool E-Book by Liz Wilcox called, “Tales from the Black Tank.”

TFTBT-CoverLiz is a fulltimer, who does a little bit of everything! Some of you may remember she did a really cool interview and blog post about me and my journey into the RV World awhile back. Since then, we’ve become friends and when she told me she was working on her book and getting ready to release it, I said send me a copy I’d love to read it and she did.

Now if you don’t follow Liz online, you really should. She’s interesting, funny and has a lot of knowledge about Rving and the RV Lifestyle which is perfect for someone writing a book and in “Tales from the Black Tank,” you get all of that “Liz-ness” and more.

It’s an easy read. Fun and full of stories that as RVers we all know too well and for those who don’t RV it’s a fun way to take a look at some of the ups and downs of the life.

Liz was also very smart in aggregating stories from others on the road to help share in the tales of what it’s like. This adds to the reading experience and will keep you laughing all throughout. You’ll probably knock this book out quickly, especially on one of those rainy days, stuck inside your RV out in the middle of nowhere.

Number #1: “The RV Entrepreneur”

And number one with a bang, one of, if not my favorite RV Podcasts to listen to, “The RV Entrepreneur” podcast.

No matter if you’re planning on going fulltime and working on the road or just hitting the road this is one of the most interesting listens out there.

Heath and Alyssa Padgett have been fulltime RVing since 2014. They made a film and started the podcast and have been pushing out great content on a regular basis ever since. You can also check out their YouTube channel as well.

I listen to this podcast daily. It’s perfect for my workouts, because I can listen and by the time any episode is over, my workout is over as well and it’s a great companion.

What they do in particular that I find very helpful is that they interview a wide swath of people Rving. Yes the premise is based on running your own business on the road, but so much of it crosses over into various parts of RV Life and life in general.

If you’re looking for something really stoke your fire and get your mind going, this is the place for you. You’ll listen and you’ll start to think about how you’re doing your version of the RV Life. A lot of what they and their guests talk about WILL apply and give you hope/suggestions on how to do you when it comes to RVing.
