RV or RV Not… There is no Try!

Who Is RVJedeye?

Where do I even begin? For years I had thought about getting into RVing, mostly because of some of the restored travel trailers I discovered back in Buellton California and absolutely feel in love with them.

The idea that you pick up your rig at the end of the day on a Friday and can escape out of the city for a couple of days sounded so appealing to me. Any time you can “flush” your head and just unwind is amazing to me, so I looked at these small campers as a way to do it. There was just something so cool about how folks renovated them and how small, yet practical they were. I could see myself fixing one up and exploring.

It took me some time, after seeing my first small rig and then in 2014, I pulled the trigger, found my first RV… A Class “C” and started my journey into the world of RVing.

I love “Tiny” and although my first rig was no where tiny, at 24 feet it was a good length. The only real problem is that I hated the corner cut bed, which led me into looking for something a little bigger, with at least one slide out so that I could walk around the bed. 6 months into my official RVlife and I was already changing up my rig.  However that turned out to be pretty good.

The new RV, a Class “A” Winnebago Sightseer fit the bill to a “T.” It was I decent shape, however I was itching to do a project and that became my project. A full reno on the RV, which in the end turned out to be Ab-Fab!

Now more than 5 years into it: I’ve changed out one RV… Done a major renovation of another and still find so much joy in hitting the road, exploring and RVing. I started my channel to give back and share my experiences RVing, because when I first got into it, I spent hours and hours online and on YouTube looking for as much information as I could. Once I started to do it all myself, I wanted to give back.

So I guess in a nutshell… that’s me… David aka “RVJedeye”

  1. I’m having a blast watching you discover the Wisconsin State Parks. I grew up N. of Milwaukee and have been camping in WI State Parks since I was a kid in the 1960’s, and for many years my family had a cabin near Mountain.

Take care – and keep up the blog and ‘Tube. 🙂

  2. Hello
Just wanted to say thank you for your informative videos. I have purchased a 31 foot travel trailer and started my adventures in Georgia and Florida with plans of traveling to many more destinations. Your videos from this area have been helpful in my choices for places to go. I’m downsizing so that I can possibly do this full time as well. Wisconsin looks good on you!

  3. Hi David!

I love your YouTube channel and blogs. I’m car camping right now but one day hope to build out a van.

I’m learning a lot from you. Thanks for giving back! 🙏🏽
