GREEN BAY, WI – Welcome to “Wayback Wednesdays!” A new series where I share some stories about a previous episodes and give you a second look at them.

Anytime I can get near water, sign me up! I love the ocean the most, but any water really will do. There is just something so calming and energizing about it. In this episode I got a chance to check out a new part of a state park in Florida that just hit the right spot.

SEASON 2: EPISODE 16 November 20, 2017 “Getting Back to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park”

Then…

“Love hitting the road and staying at a Florida State Park. Now my rule of thumb and I’ve been able to do it for a year now, is to try not to head back to the same location twice. I’ve been able to do it so far and that includes this week. Last year I hit St Joseph Peninsula State Park, but I stayed in the “Gulf Breeze,” section, this year I came back but stayed in the, “Shady Pines,” area so the streak lives on!”

Now…

Looking back, this is when I use to do three elements in a video. I’d give you a tour of the park, take you on a hike and then “Chef-It-Up” and in this video I did some killer ribs that made me so hungry looking at them again.

This park was actually shut down for awhile after a couple of hurricanes came through and hit it hard. The nice part about the park is that it was close to the beach, however in Florida that also makes it one of the tough things about a park near the water… when hurricanes come they can be devastating.
