The Renovations are underway! So much to do… so little time, but I have to keep telling myself, in the end it will ALL be worth it!
For this “New-2-Me-RVJedeye Mobile,” I went with a “Nuform Quilted Pillow Top Mattress” and added a mattress topper as well.
The main reason I wanted to upgrade to a larger rig from the Class C to the Class A… more options for a bed. I also hated the corner cut bed in the Class C.
Now the bed I bought I originally purchased on eBay and I usually don’t have an issue with sellers there. This time I did. No communication, didn’t ship on time and overall all they were generally a pain. I thought about slamming them more here, but opted not to. I gave my response to the service on eBay. I have my mattress, so I’m moving on and not letting it bother me anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I was majorly frustrated and pissed, but you’ve got to let things go, otherwise they’ll eat at you forever and in the end that’s not going to do you any good. So in the links below, you’ll find the same bed from Amazon and thanks to UPS, I was able to route it closer to me, better late than never. I also deposited a couple of extra coins in the Karma Bank, but donating my old RV bed to “Teen Challenge Super Thrift,” so in the end everything worked out!
THE BUDGET:
Now every time I post a new episode, I’m going to share with you my expenses with the “DIY/RV Renovation.” Part of the reason is so you can see what I’ve spent to date. And then if you decide to do some renovations, you’ll have a ballpark figure to go with. I shop online a lot, do a lot of research and pull the trigger when there is a good deal.
