Oh yeah… normally, I love the foreplay of planning a long trip.

Gazing at a map and negotiating with myself whether or not the drive is too hard or just right?

Meal planning for the long trek with an eye on quality as if Tom, Padma and Gail were stopping by an I only had 30 minutes to plan an “Amuse-bouche” in one pan, utilizing items only found at “Dollar Tree.”

The art of the trip is so stimulating, you can spend hours-days even, trying to make everything perfect.

But then… sometimes… when you don’t have the luxury of waiting for that dream moment and you need a little something-something… that’s when a “quickie” trip is in order.

Getting away for a short weekend tryst can be fun and what the doctor ordered and uncomplicated. Who cares if you don’t have andirons or play squash?

This weekend I’m back out on the road for a “little blue” getaway and yes I’m excited about it no matter how long it lasts.

Being able to hop in the rig and hit the road, shutting out the stress of the week for two nights is fun.

This week it’s “Glamping.” In a couple, a “State Park.” Wherever and however your able to get your groove on, you should do it.

So… here’s the money shot and be honest: Where do you like to do it for a weekend?
